Summary: The Java Developer role is a remote position requiring extensive experience in Java and related technologies, including web development and cloud services. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills and be familiar with various software development tools and methodologies. Additionally, experience with DevOps in a cloud environment is essential, along with effective communication skills for documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
  • Implement web applications compliant with WCAG standards.
  • Utilize SQL for database management, including DDL, DML, and stored procedures.
  • Work with MS Azure Cloud technologies and integrate web services across cloud platforms.
  • Test software applications using a data-driven development approach.
  • Document issues and prepare reports clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate using SDLC tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub in a DevOps environment.
  • Automate identity management services for user authentication and authorization.

Key Skills:

  • 8 years of experience in Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
  • 8 years of experience with SQL and database management.
  • 8 years of experience in Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
  • 8 years of knowledge in Web API Development (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON).
  • 8 years of working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • 8 years of experience with MS Azure Cloud technologies.
  • 3 years of experience using GitHub in a DevOps Cloud Environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SDLC tools such as Visio, Miro, ERWIN, Jira, Confluence, and ALM Octane.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages like .Net, C#, and Appian.
  • Experience with automating identity management services.
  • 3 years of experience with the Texas Workforce Commission.
