Summary: The Data Engineer IV is tasked with enhancing and optimizing the data architecture and pipeline, ensuring efficient data flow for cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops streaming data applications (Kafka, Java Microservices, MongoDB).
- Solves complex application errors and resolves application problems, ensuring prompt follow-up with customers and IT personnel.
- Create requirement documents and functional design documents, reviewing those created by vendor partners as part of the software development life cycle.
- Documents all phases of work, including gathering requirements, creating relationship diagrams, and technical specifications using current design standards.
- Relates information from various sources to draw logical conclusions.
- Acts as a subject matter expert on technology solutions.

The Data Engineer IV will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. They will drive our data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They engage through the entire lifecycle of a project from data mapping, data pipelines, data modeling, and finally data consumption. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. They will proactively optimize or even assist with the design of our company s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives. They will work on various, ambiguous, and complex issues, where analysis of situations or data requires an in- depth evaluation of variable factors, thorough understanding of the business strategy, operations, markets and key stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and develops streaming data applications. (Kafka, Java Microservices, MongoDB)
Solves complex application errors, designs, and resolves application problems, following up promptly with all appropriate customers and IT personnel.
Create requirement documents, create functional design documents, and review the functional design documents created by vendor partners as a part of software development life cycle.
Documents all phases of work including gathering requirements, joining relationship diagrams, creating database diagrams, and other program technical specifications using current specified design standards for new or revised solutions.
Relates information from various sources to draw logical conclusions.
