Summary: The Java / Cloud Solutions Architect role involves creating architectural designs for enterprise-scale applications and leading technical initiatives. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure alignment and guide technical leads across multiple projects. The candidate will provide architectural oversight and hands-on support throughout the development lifecycle, with a focus on non-functional requirements and cloud platforms. This is a remote position requiring work during EST hours on a 2-3 year contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create architectural designs and lead architectural design for enterprise-scale applications and integrations.
- Collaborate with enterprise and clinical architecture teams to ensure alignment.
- Work with product teams to understand capabilities and translate them to architectural/technical designs.
- Guide technical leads and engineers across multiple projects.
- Act as the senior architect on major initiatives, including clinical programs.
- Provide architectural oversight and hands-on support throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles (technical lead, solution architect, enterprise architect).
- Strong experience in Java, Python, Spring Boot, and front-end frameworks (Angular/JavaScript).
- Strong experience in understanding non-functional requirements and ability to create designs that meet them.
- 5+ years of full stack development experience.
- 5+ years of SQL, NoSQL, Redis and any relevant database experience.
- 5+ years in cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform/AWS), microservices, and API design.
- Experience with DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git) and Kafka.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, especially Generative AI and LLMs.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
