Summary: The IT Support / Service Desk / IT Transition Engineer will be responsible for supporting IT transition and integration activities for newly acquired centers. This role involves evaluating current environments, defining transition strategies, and executing technical tasks to align with IT standards. The position requires strong communication skills and a willingness to travel. The role is remote, with a preference for candidates in the EST or CST time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct discovery activities and document current-state technical environments
- Partner with internal IT teams to design future-state architecture
- Prepare, configure, and coordinate delivery of desktop hardware
- Execute IT transition tasks including:
Test plans and execution
Hardware installation (servers, routers, switches, desktops)
Application installation, mapping, and data migration
User setup & onsite support - Provide post-cutover support to the Service Desk
- Train center employees on issue logging procedures
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years in an IT support or technical operations role
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Analytical, organized, and adaptable to shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel, including some weekends
- Broad IT knowledge including:
Desktop environments
Networking/telecom infrastructure
Client/server and database fundamentals
