Summary: The IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd Line) role involves providing technical support for internal users and client environments, primarily utilizing Microsoft technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support as part of the internal and external helpdesk function
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across user desktops, laptops, and remote environments
  • Support Windows-based systems, including installation, configuration, and ongoing troubleshooting
  • Assist with administration of Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Active Directory
  • Support Azure-based environments and Group Policy management
  • Set up and support VPNs and user access policies
  • Work collaboratively with other support engineers and escalate issues where necessary

Key Skills:

  • 5 + years experience in an IT Support Engineer or Service Desk Analyst role (1st and 2nd line)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies:
    • Windows 10/11 and Windows Server
    • Office 365/Microsoft 365
    • Active Directory and Group Policy
    • Azure administration
    • Exchange Online
  • Familiarity with VPN configuration and remote access support
  • Confident working independently and resolving technical issues remotely
