Summary: The IT Risk Consultant role involves supporting a high-priority risk remediation programme for a leading global financial institution. This hands-on position requires strong execution capabilities to address and resolve key IT risk and control issues within technology teams. The consultant will work collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance controls and translate risk frameworks into actionable tasks. This is a delivery-focused contract role for a duration of six months, operating remotely and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:
- Proven experience in IT Risk/Technology Risk within financial services
- Strong first line of defence (1LOD) experience
- Track record of delivering risk remediation or control uplift programmes
- Understanding of IT controls, risk frameworks, and operational resilience

- Strong communication and delivery mindset
- Experience working with large banking clients (eg Tier 1 institutions)
- Familiarity with frameworks such as CRIC, CRA, or SISA
- Relevant certifications (eg CISA, CRISC) - not essential
