Summary: The IT Project Manager role focuses on leading the deployment of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) across manufacturing sites. The position requires the development and maintenance of project plans, organization of meetings, and communication of project status to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies and experience in manufacturing environments. This role is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, including milestones, action logs, and resource tracking.
- Organize and lead project meetings; communicate progress and drive deliverables to schedule.
- Compile and present project status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Monitor and report progress of project phases and key milestones; identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure standard project management best practices and governance are followed.
- Report and escalate critical issues or delays to leadership as needed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including implementation checklists, site readiness reviews, and closure reports.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Skills:
- 3-5 years of project management experience with a demonstrated record of successfully leading end-to-end IT or system deployment projects.
- Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid).
- Experience in manufacturing environments and/or CMMS or enterprise system implementations strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across diverse teams and regions.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize technical and business requirements clearly.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
