Summary: This role is for an Information Technology Project Manager who will lead the design, development, and implementation of information system transformation initiatives. The position requires strategic direction at the enterprise level and is specifically targeted at candidates local to Pierre, South Dakota, despite being remote. The role involves managing large-scale IT projects, ensuring successful delivery, and mentoring state personnel in project management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale enterprise IT projects and smaller initiatives
  • Define business and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and scrum teams
  • Provide strategic guidance for enterprise IT implementations
  • Coordinate with development teams and vendors to ensure successful delivery
  • Ensure project governance, monitoring, and control mechanisms are in place
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Mentor and guide state personnel in project management practices.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with child support systems, policies, and business processes
  • Background in child support system modernization projects
  • Strong experience managing IT solutions and enterprise projects
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience
