Summary: Our F100 client seeks an IT Project Estimating Analyst to join their EPMO, focusing on providing accurate project initiation estimating services for IT project portfolios. The role involves collaboration with business and IT partners to define project scopes, optimize forecasts, and facilitate ROM estimates. This position is fully remote, adhering to an EST schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Business and IT partners to define project scope and deliverables, gathers inputs into the process, and optimizes project forecasts.
- Facilitates the rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate process leveraging in-house tools & techniques.
- Develops project estimates for governance approval to ensure that the project data sets proper expectations for portfolio and governance investment decisions.
- Uses business and data analysis techniques from completed projects to aid in the Initiation approval process.
- Provides program and portfolio planning support.
- Uses critical thinking to solve problems.
Key Skills:
- Portfolio Management and/or PMO experience
- Working knowledge of project estimation practices
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to investigate, assess and recommend solutions.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. SharePoint / PowerApps
- Experience with utilization of the SLIM estimating tool
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Experience with Planview Portfolios

You will collaborate closely with business and IT partners to define project scopes and deliverables, optimize project forecasts, and facilitate the approval of rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates. Your expertise in utilizing Software Lifecycle Management (SLIM) tools and techniques will be essential in helping leadership make well-informed business decisions This is a fully remote position, following an EST schedule.
