Summary: The role of Commercial Analyst involves providing high-level contractual and technical assurance during a six-month service transition contract within the energy/utilities sector. The position requires monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and supporting various teams with analytical insights. The role is remote with weekly office visits in South England or Scotland and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constantly monitor contractual requirements against the transition plan to ensure compliance with the contract and propose corrective actions.
- Reviewing the functional and technical specifications being delivered against the requirements.
- Providing expertise on systems, software and processes to support the programme.
- Prepare regular reports on gaps identified and propose appropriate actions.
- Assist and guide operational, finance, procurement, and commercial teams and provide analytical support.
Key Skills:
- Strong financial, commercial, and business analysis background.
- Advanced Excel skills (modelling, pivot tables, lookups, scenario analysis).
- Ability to interpret and communicate data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Good understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and profitability drivers.
- Good experience on different technologies and services such as Azure, AWS, Service Desk, End User Services and Service Management/SIAM.
- Experience working in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or similar industries.
- Experience in regulated tender environment.
Salary (Rate): £575 daily
