Summary: This role for an IT Application Specialist Senior contractor involves collaborating with Business PMOs and project teams to build and configure Planview Portfolios. The specialist will design applications based on PMO requirements, recommend global standards for scalability, and work closely with the Enterprise Project Management Office on processes and configurations. The position requires a strong focus on data analysis, integration, and documentation to ensure application requirements are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate using PV Portfolios for data analysis/integrations (project recommendations for PGR and rollout), migration/import of data.
- Test Planview Portfolios and Portfolio connection and recommend how to set up workspaces/portfolios template and flow of data.
- Reporting with Power BI, etc.
- Work with developer on data integration for user provisions & resource field updates for Planview Portfolios.
- Work with Business PMOs to gather data needs/requirements for Planview Portfolios Implementation.
- Gather current systems and data information, including current process, documentation of current intake systems/fields, and document technical specs to maintain Planview Portfolios.
- Collaborate during meetings to define and document requirements, and evaluate comprehensiveness, testability, and usability of the requirements within the application.
- Engage with vendors to make necessary changes to applications.
- Provide reports and analysis to ensure application requirements are met.
- Create, update, and maintain related application documentation.
- Resolve moderate to complex application design and usability issues.
Key Skills:
- Associate's Degree or higher in an IT or Business related discipline (such as MIS, Business Management) and a minimum of four years of related work experience in technical tool administration.
- Experience creating, testing, configuring, updating, manipulating, and/or scripting technical tools or applications.
- In lieu of the above combination of education and experience, a minimum of six years of related work experience in technical tool administration.
