Summary: The IT Application Analyst role involves supporting software programs across clinical and business functions, focusing on system analysis, design, testing, and implementation. The analyst will act as a liaison between various stakeholders, ensuring that software solutions meet business needs while maintaining data integrity. The position requires a strong understanding of nurse call systems and related technologies, as well as the ability to manage small to mid-sized projects. Additionally, the role may involve providing 24/7 on-call support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolves customer problems with software and responds to requested improvements and enhancements.
  • Researches requests to determine scope, size, and impact.
  • Works with customers to elicit requirements through a variety of techniques.
  • Validates requirement information with customers to ensure completeness, correctness, and clarity.
  • Validates the developed solution to ensure it satisfies the stated requirements.
  • Functions as a liaison between clinical, business, and technical areas during the planning process.
  • Builds credibility and rapport with customers to understand their needs.
  • Manages small- to mid-sized projects.
  • Contributes to software testing activities.
  • May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Key Skills:

  • Working with our PCCS (Rauland Patient Call Light System) team on converting enterprise units to the new call light system. Main vendor is Ametek/Rauland.
  • Helping convert units to Rauland Enterprise (RE) using vendor software to program based on unit needs assessments.
  • Strong candidates should have experience designing nurse call systems i.e.; understand how devices are wired, device functionality and programming, power requirements for a system, understand console, zone light coverages.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of low voltage cabling installation practices and terminations; they should have experience with troubleshooting a system they have programmed and pushed to the system to aid HTM with bringing an area online.
  • They should have basic networking knowledge and a firm understanding of how the Nurse call system works independently and connected to a network.
  • Computer skills to send email, work with Excel and Access programs.
  • Knowledge of how Rauland integrates with hospital systems.
  • They should have experience with reading design drawings and as-builts to obtain the information to program and assist the CAS team with complex situations that arise in areas they are preparing needs assessments for an area.
  • Nice to Haves/Preferred Qualifications: Rauland server architecture would be preferred.

Job Summary:

Supports software programs or modules across multiple clinical and/or business functions. Understands the business environment and the impact IT can have on the business environment. Provides analysis and support for installed systems as well as system implementation and integration projects that require systems analysis, design, testing, and implementation for specific modules or applications. Maintains knowledge of existing systems and is certified in the vended application, as required. Configures, designs, develops, or modifies applications via vendor tools or augmented tools developed within *** and is able to validate data integrity of changes introduced.
