Summary: The role of Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) for Property Maintenance involves ensuring the integrity and compliance of assessment practices within a vocational training environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and supporting assessors to ensure consistent, high-quality assessment decisions
- Conducting sampling, verification, and standardisation activities
- Providing structured feedback, coaching, and developmental guidance
- Ensuring compliance with awarding body, EPAO, and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining robust IQA documentation and audit trails
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and inspection readiness
- Working closely with delivery and quality teams to embed best practice
Key Skills:
- Occupational competence and industry experience in Property Maintenance or a related construction trade
- Recognised IQA qualification (TAQA, D34, V1, Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance or equivalent)
- Experience quality assuring vocational qualifications and/or apprenticeships
- Strong understanding of awarding body, EPAO, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and coaching capability
- Organised, detail-oriented, and audit-ready mindset

About the Job
As Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) – Property Maintenance, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, consistency, and compliance of assessment practice across qualifications and/or apprenticeship standards.
