Summary: This role is for a remote Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) specializing in Carpentry & Joinery, focusing on maintaining quality and compliance standards in apprenticeship programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting remote sampling and verification of assessor decisions
- Observing assessment practice and providing structured developmental feedback
- Ensuring assessment decisions are valid, reliable, consistent, and compliant
- Supporting assessor standardisation and sharing best practice
- Monitoring compliance with awarding body, EPAO, and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate IQA documentation and audit-ready records
- Contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Key Skills:
- A recognised IQA qualification (D34, V1, or Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance)
- Occupational competence and sector experience in Carpentry & Joinery
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards and EPAO processes
- Understanding of awarding body and regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to provide constructive, developmental feedback to assessors
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience within independent training providers or FE environments (desirable)
- Confidence operating within remote QA systems and e-portfolio platforms (desirable)
