Summary: The role of iOS Engineer focuses on developing native components while also managing backend logic using PHP and React. This position requires a blend of iOS development skills and backend support, particularly in high-scale mobile applications. The engineer will work on design systems and legacy infrastructure, contributing to both UI components and their functionality. The contract is for six months and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:

Hybrid iOS Engineer – Mobile UI Infra, PHP & React | Contract PAYE - inside IR35
Not your average iOS role. We're hiring an iOS Engineer with a difference—someone who’s built native components and understands the backend logic that powers them . This role sits at the intersection of iOS, PHP, and React, working across design systems, legacy infra, and new feature experiments used across high-scale mobile apps. You’ll be building native UI components and animations ( Swift/Obj-C ), but also writing and supporting the PHP code that defines how those components behave across surfaces.
What's in it for you? Annual Salary up to £110,000 doe and location 6-months contract - inside IR35 - PAYE - paid weekly Remote within the UK (candidates only considered if you are physically based in the UK with the appropriate right to work status, no sponsorship or work permit provided)
What you’ll bring:
- 7+ years’ iOS experience (Swift/Objective-C)
- Hands-on experience with PHP - must have
- Familiarity with React for UI experimentation, at least 7 Years
- Infrastructure or design system experience in scaled mobile environments
- Comfort working in cross-layer systems (frontend + backend UI infra)
