Summary: This role is for Investment Banking or Private Equity Experts to participate in a research project with a leading AI lab. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for building financial models asynchronously, committing at least 20 hours per week. The contract lasts until the end of January, with potential for extension, and successful contributions may lead to future projects. Compensation is $150 per hour, paid weekly via Stripe Connect.

- Build financial models from scratch reflective of previous desk experience.

- Log hours worked for weekly payment processing.
Key Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in investment banking or private equity.
- Deal experience (academic experience does not count).
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Ability to work asynchronously and manage time effectively.

You are a good fit if you: Have at least 2 years of experience working at top firms in investment banking or private equity with deal experience (academic experience does not count, must be on desk)
Here are more details about the role:
- The work is fully asynchronous and can be done around your schedule
- You will be building financial models from scratch that would be reflective of what you did on desk
- You must be able to commit at least 20 hours per week for this role
- This contract is till end of January (with the possibility of extension)
- Successful contributions increase the odds that you are selected on future projects with Mercor
The vetting process involves:
- ~10 minute behavioral interview asking about previous deals you’ve worked on
- Technical assessment ( < 30 minutes) evaluating financial expertise
With respect to pay and legal status:
This role will pay $150/hour
We will pay you out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect based on the number of hours you log
You will be classified as an “at-will” contractor to Mercor
