Summary: The International Tax Manager will support the strategic tax objectives of a leading global insurance broker in a high-growth, PE-backed environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the tax support for global M&A activity, including scoping and reviewing due diligence and transaction structuring.
  • Manage external tax advisers to ensure consistent advice on refinancing, permanent establishment (PE) risk, and group restructurings.
  • Work closely with Transfer Pricing, Treasury, and Legal teams to highlight intercompany risks and implement global policies.
  • Collaborate with the Group Tax team on quarterly/year-end processes and auditor queries related to acquisitions and refinancing.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on changing global tax laws to assess their impact on existing group structures.

Key Skills:

  • Professional tax or accounting qualification (CTA/ACA or equivalent).
  • 7–10 years of experience managing tax governance and advisory projects.
  • Experience in a PE-backed or large multinational Financial Services background.
  • Proven expertise in cross-border tax structuring, transfer pricing, and managing multi-jurisdictional tax oversight.
  • A natural business partner capable of translating complex tax risks for finance, HR, and legal stakeholders.

Are you a seasoned tax professional looking to move into a high-growth, PE-backed environment? We are representing a Top 20 global insurance broker and the UK’s largest independent distribution platform. Following a period of rapid expansion since their founding in 2017, they now operate across 150+ locations worldwide with a workforce of 10,000. As the International Tax Manager , you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Group’s strategic tax objectives across the UK, Europe, APAC, and Iberia. This is a high-visibility position involving heavy M&A involvement, cross-border structuring, and senior stakeholder management

Key Responsibilities

  • M&A & Structuring: Lead the tax support for global M&A activity, including scoping and reviewing due diligence and transaction structuring.
  • Advisory Oversight: Manage external tax advisers to ensure consistent advice on refinancing, permanent establishment (PE) risk, and group restructurings.
  • Strategic Partnering: Work closely with Transfer Pricing, Treasury, and Legal teams to highlight intercompany risks and implement global policies.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Collaborate with the Group Tax team on quarterly/year-end processes and auditor queries related to acquisitions and refinancing.

Your Profile

  • Qualified: Professional tax or accounting qualification (CTA/ACA or equivalent).
  • Experience: 7–10 years of experience managing tax governance and advisory projects.
  • Environment: Ideally coming from a PE-backed or large multinational Financial Services background.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in cross-border tax structuring, transfer pricing, and managing multi-jurisdictional tax oversight.
  • Communication: A natural business partner capable of translating complex tax risks for finance, HR, and legal stakeholders.
