About the Role:
As an Interiors Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing fit-out and reactive maintenance projects valued from 20k to 700k. Reporting directly to the Construction Director, your key responsibility will be to manage projects from initiation through to successful completion. This includes ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery:
- Lead and manage multiple interior fit-out projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Coordinate all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, procurement, and monitoring progress.
Client and Subcontractor Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial & Budget Control:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures stay within forecasted limits.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, track expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies where possible.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, contracts, and change orders.
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients.
Fit-Out Expertise:
- Oversee Cat A & B fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
Problem-Solving & Risk Management:
- Anticipate and address any potential issues or delays before they impact the project timeline.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and in full compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- Substantial experience in the interiors sector, ideally having worked in roles such as joinery, drylining, suspended ceilings, and general building.
- Some knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems would be beneficial.
Project Management Skills:
- Proven track record in managing interior fit-out projects, with Cat A & B fit-out experience highly preferred.
- Strong skills in project planning, programming, and budget control.
IT & Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Office and project management software, particularly Microsoft Projects.
- Strong understanding of programming and scheduling to ensure timely project delivery.
Communication & Problem-Solving:
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to resolve issues promptly, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also being a strong team player.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Transport & Location:
- Own transport is essential.
- Must live within 1.5 hours of the office location in Datchet.
Employment Requirements:
Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Security Clearance: Ability to pass an airside security check (five years of continuous work references required).
Criminal Record Check (CRC): Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
Training: Ongoing training will be provided where necessary to support personal and professional development.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 AM 05:00 PM (30-minute lunch break).
This role is office-based. Remote working is not supported.
