Summary: Cedar is seeking an Interim Category Officer for a Local Authority's ICT & Digital category. This home-based role is a 3-month contract with the potential for extension, operating inside IR35. The position involves supporting Category Managers in procurement processes and ensuring compliance while managing strategic and operational procurements. The day rate offered is up to £300.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Category Managers in developing and issuing ITT documentation.
- Advertise tenders and ensure compliance with procurement regulations.
- Manage strategic and operational procurements and renewals up to £50k.
- Achieve value for money for the Authority.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a similar role within the UK Public Sector.
- Understanding of the new Procurement Act (advantageous).
- Experience in ICT & Digital procurement.
- Familiarity with Public Sector Frameworks such as CCS’s G-Cloud, DOS, Tech Services (advantageous).
