Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting finance function excellence in both pre-deal diligence and post-deal value creation

  • Stepping into a portfolio business and acting as Interim CFO to support through key transitions as required
  • Collaborating and supporting newly acquired businesses to implement minimum standards and best practice, in line with the funds approach

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience as a CFO with significant experience in mid-large cap, private equity backed businesses
  • Comfortable working in an advisory role with a hands-on approach
  • International experience, particularly across Europe and the US is highly desirable
  • Experience leading a business through an exit is strongly preferred
  • Advisory work with a private equity fund or a background as an Investment Director with CFO-level expertise is highly valued
  • Best suited to a part-time, portfolio-style career (typically 2–3 days per week) on a contractor basis

We’re delighted to be supporting a large cap private equity house as they look to appoint a small number of Interim Finance Operating Advisors to support their portfolio team and work directly with senior leadership across their portfolio companies. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced CFO to operate in an advisory capacity, bringing their expertise to a wide range of high-impact situations across the investment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting finance function excellence in both pre-deal diligence and post-deal value creation
  • Partnering with portfolio CFO’s and finance teams to drive transformation and deliver against the funds finance playbook
  • As and when required, stepping into a portfolio business and acting as Interim CFO to support through key transitions
  • Collaborating and supporting newly acquired businesses to implement minimum standards and best practice, in line with the funds approach

Candidate profile:

  • Demonstrable experience as a CFO with significant experience in mid-large cap, private equity backed businesses
