Interim Finance Manager

Summary: The role of Finance Manager is a 6-month remote position focused on leading financial operations within a dynamic finance team. The candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling while managing a team and ensuring compliance with reporting standards. Strong stakeholder engagement and process improvement skills are essential for success in this role. The position requires the candidate to be a fully qualified accountant with experience in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the preparation of forecasting, budgeting, and long-range plans
• Developing accurate and robust financial models to identify opportunities and assess potential risks
• Conducting high-level analysis of financial information, supporting and challenging budget holders
• Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring all financial information is in line with reporting standards
• Liaising with the wider finance team to identify areas of improvement for finance systems and processes
• Managing the finance team, ensuring they are meeting their deliverables and delivering timely financial information
