Robert Half is partnering with a private equity-backed SME to recruit an Interim Finance Director for an initial period of 3–6 months. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. With a turnover of c£10m and part of a larger group, the business operates across international supply chains and is active in the wholesale, distribution, and import/export sectors. While the role is mostly remote, you’ll need the flexibility to travel on occasion to maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and support operational needs.

The Role

This is a broad and standalone finance role, best suited to someone who’s comfortable being the most senior finance person on site. You’ll be supported by a small team and will be expected to roll your sleeves up and ensure the finance function continues to run smoothly during a period of transition while a permanent hire is recruited.

Who We Are Looking For

We’re seeking a hands-on, commercially aware interim finance professional with experience in owner-managed or private equity-backed SMEs. This role needs someone who can work autonomously and isn’t afraid to get into the detail.

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

Prior experience in SMEs or standalone finance roles
