Summary: The Interim Finance Director role is a six-month fixed-term contract with a high-growth tech scaleup, focusing on leading the finance function and enhancing automation and business partnering capabilities. The position requires a qualified accountant with significant experience in scaling tech businesses, ideally with exposure to corporate environments. The successful candidate will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting while mentoring the finance team. This opportunity is time-sensitive and aimed at experienced finance leaders who can drive value through innovative financial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day finance function, including all annual statutory and monthly management reporting
- Manage the audit process and be the point of contact for external auditors
- Own budgeting, forecasting, planning & KPI analysis
- Business partner cross functionally, in particular with Commercial / GTM / Product / Engineering function
- Introduce more automation / commercial thinking / value add / partnering ways of working across finance
- Develop and mentor an ambitious finance function
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant with significant experience across scaling tech businesses
- Recent tech scaleup experience, coupled with earlier exposure within a corporate / listed environment
- Established business partner, capable of challenging, advising and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
- Clear and articulate thinker
- Data focussed individual
