Summary: The Interim Credit Manager role is a hands-on, transformation-focused position for a fast-growing, PE-backed organization, requiring an experienced individual to lead and mentor a credit control team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a credit control team (currently 2 direct reports), with a focus on capability building and future scalability
- Drive reduction of company debt
- Prioritise and manage complex, high-value, and high-volume debtor accounts
- Handle and resolve complex customer queries and escalations
- Review, design, and implement credit control processes to support business growth and acquisitions
- Support the integration of newly acquired entities from a credit and AR perspective
- Identify and implement system improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Work closely with Finance leadership and wider stakeholders to improve cash flow and controls
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a fast paced Credit Manager role
- Demonstrated success in building or improving credit processes while managing and developing a team
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-driven environment, including acquisitions
- Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders
- Self-starter who can operate autonomously in a remote, national role
- Experience working across UK and EMEA markets
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Experience with Sage Intact is highly advantageous
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics is desirable but not essential
- Strong Excel and reporting capability expected
