The Role:
Working Arrangement: Full Time, remote working
Duration: Initial 3 months with likely extension thereafter
Rate: Up to £65 per hour Umbrella
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice and supporting on a broad range of commercial matters relating to Infrastructure projects
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including service agreements, consultancy appointments, framework agreements and supplier contracts
- Advising on procurement processes and public procurement legislation, supporting project teams through tender exercises and contract award procedures
- Drafting and negotiating funding, grant and partnership agreements, collaboration agreements, memoranda of understanding and joint venture documentation for stakeholders
- Advising on contract management issues, including contract variations, performance issues, disputes, liability matters and contract termination.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in Commercial law
- Experience of commercial contracts and procurement matters.
- Knowledge of local government law and governance is desirable.
- Experience advising on infrastructure, transport, regeneration or major projects would be advantageous.
