We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial function of our high-growth, private equity backed technology business as we prepare for a near-term exit. This executive will serve as a key partner to the CEO, Board, and private equity stakeholders, driving financial performance, operational discipline, and value creation initiatives that support a successful transaction and long-term scalability. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in private equity environments, technology/SaaS business models, and exit-readiness including due diligence, financial modelling, investor presentations, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Value Creation
- Partner with the CEO to define and execute the company’s value creation plan.
- Drive strategic initiatives around pricing, product investment, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency.
- Assess market trends, competitive positioning, and revenue drivers to support data-driven strategic decisions.
- Play a central role in articulating the company’s equity story to prospective investors and buyers.
- Exit Preparation & Transaction Support
- Lead all financial components of the exit process (sale, recap, or IPO), including:
- Preparation of the data room
- Buyer/investor Q&A management
- Due diligence coordination (financial, tax, legal, commercial, HR)
- Building and validating financial models and forecasts
- Partner with CEO, investment bankers, and advisors to drive a professional, well-organised process.
- Ensure the business is positioned with clean financials, robust KPIs, and compelling growth narratives.
- Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
- Own the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Develop clear and actionable KPIs for SaaS and recurring revenue models (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn, cohort analysis).
- Establish rigorous financial and operational reporting frameworks for internal and board use.
