Summary: Our client, a rapidly expanding UK business, is looking for an experienced interim finance professional to oversee the post-acquisition integration and financial management of recently acquired entities. This role involves leading the financial integration of 6–7 businesses, ensuring strong financial control, and managing audit and governance processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and the ability to navigate complex financial situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end to end post acquisition integration process
- Manage entity level accounting, statutory reporting, and financial control
- Oversee audit coordination and delivery across multiple entities
- Manage corporation tax and wider tax compliance processes
- Maintain and reconcile financial records including cash management and bank reconciliations
- Support closure or dormancy of legacy acquired entities where required
- Identify and resolve historic accounting and control issues
- Act as the central finance owner for acquired businesses within the group
Key Skills:
- ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
- Proven experience in post-merger integration or acquisition environments
- Strong technical accounting, statutory reporting, and financial control experience
- Experience managing multi-entity audit and tax processes
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking full ownership of projects
- Experience with Sage 50, Xero, or QuickBooks beneficial

This is a high impact interim assignment where you will lead the financial integration and ongoing management of 6–7 acquired businesses, ensuring robust financial control while transitioning entities either into the core group structure or into a well managed dormant state. The role requires a hands on, technically strong finance professional who can quickly assess complex situations, bring structure to multiple legal entities, and confidently manage the audit and financial governance processes end to end.
