Summary: The Integrations Architect role involves defining and governing integration architecture patterns for a leading facilities services provider in the UK. Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain integration architecture standards and patterns across the organisation.
  • Design target-state integration architectures aligned with data, security, and cloud strategies.
  • Establish guidance on the appropriate use of APIs, event-driven, batch, and platform-native integration approaches.
  • Produce and review high-level and detailed integration designs for programmes of work and client contracts.
  • Act as a design authority, providing assurance on API design, security, resilience, error handling, and observability.
  • Collaborate closely with Integration Developers to translate architectural designs into buildable, delivery-focused solutions.
  • Define standard usage patterns for Azure integration services, including API Management, Functions, App Services, Logic Apps, and event-driven services.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in an Integrations Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Integration Engineer role.
  • Strong understanding of API-led integration and modern integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering integrations on the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications, and authentication and authorisation for external integrations.
  • Very strong technical background in APIs and system integrations, including building and managing multiple integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with delivery teams and influence technical direction.
  • Experience working across multiple teams, including integration, data, and platform functions.

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an Integrations Architect to define and govern integration architecture patterns, ensuring integration solutions are consistent, scalable, secure, and suitable for both internal and external consumption.
This role provides technical leadership and architectural direction across the integration landscape, while remaining pragmatic and delivery focused. The Integrations Architect will play a key role in shaping the target-state integration architecture and ensuring alignment with data, security, and cloud strategies.
Working closely with integration development teams, business intelligence functions, data architects, and platform teams, the role will assure solution design quality and guide engineering teams.
