Summary: The Integration Architect role involves designing and delivering API-led and event-driven solutions within complex enterprise environments. The position requires expertise in cloud-native microservices on AWS and integration across legacy and modern systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with GDS standards. This is a contract position with a duration of 6-12 months, primarily remote with occasional onsite requirements in London, Manchester, or Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define integration architectures by decomposing business domains into services.
- Build cloud-native microservices on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS) using Node.js.
- Work with Kafka, SQS, and SNS to enable scalable, resilient, and real-time integrations.
- Lead integration across legacy and modern systems, ensuring security and observability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on standards, patterns, and technology roadmaps.

Atrium EMEA are supporting a large managed service provider, looking for an experienced Integration Architect to design and deliver API-led and event-driven solutions across complex enterprise environments.
You'll define integration architectures by decomposing business domains into services and building cloud-native microservices on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS) using Node.js. You'll work with Kafka, SQS, and SNS to enable scalable, resilient, and Real Time integrations.
You'll lead integration across Legacy and modern systems, ensuring solutions are secure, observable, scalable, and GDS-compliant. Working closely with cross-functional teams and architects, you'll align on standards, patterns, and technology roadmaps.
