Instructional Designer (Mid-Level, Remote, Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development of corporate learning experiences to improve onboarding, performance, and employee growth.
• Contribute to the creation of educational product visions that address business needs.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs across departments.
• Analyze learner diversity and contexts to tailor learning solutions.
• Create engaging learning activities and course content to enhance retention.
• Develop supporting materials/media such as audio, video, and simulations.
• Seek creative solutions beyond conventional practices.
• Manage undefined, complex projects and maintain organized documentation.
• Supervise Junior Instructional Designers and manage their workflow as needed.
• Communicate concerns to team leads and contribute to team discussions.
• Grow into a Senior Instructional Designer position within six months.

Key Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a mid-level instructional design role or similar within L&D.
• Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
• Impeccable English writing skills.
• Ability to distinguish between primary and secondary details and simplify complex information.
• Passion for acquiring new technical skills and translating complex concepts into understandable language.
• Experience producing diverse learning materials, including scripts, guides, and manuals.
• Proactive work ethic in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.
• Experience with learning management systems and understanding their functionality.
