Summary: The Insider Threat Engineering Lead - DLP role at a leading insurance firm involves managing a diverse team focused on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) within the Cyber Defence department. The position requires technical oversight of the DLP platform, collaboration with various departments, and the development of strategies to mitigate data loss risks. This fully remote position is critical for enhancing the company's insider threat capabilities and ensuring effective data protection measures are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountability for the technical management, troubleshooting, and administration of the DLP platform.
- Lead and manage the Insider Threat Engineering team aligned to DLP, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and refine strategies, rules, policies, and procedures for data protection.
- Produce a technical roadmap aligned with the overall Cyber Security strategy.
- Ensure DLP policies are fine-tuned to reduce false positives.
- Conduct regular assessments of the Insider Threat Engineering – DLP function for continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on team performance and effectiveness.
- Identify trends and drive requirements for enhancing existing DLP policies.
Key Skills:
- Experience configuring and managing policies and rules within Purview DLP.
- Ability to build or customize policies in Purview DLP.
- Knowledge of data exfiltration channels configured with Purview DLP policies.
- Experience in reducing false positives or tuning DLP alerts in Purview.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across cross-functional teams.
- Technical expertise in Cyber Security and data protection strategies.
