As a result, the competitive challenges for the traditional satellite players are increasing at an unprecedented level. Faced with this new reality, achieving growth in our traditional markets will become ever more challenging.Against this backdrop the Strategy and Growth Programmes team leads the charge for VIG in developing and executing strategies and plans that keep Inmarsat competitive in our markets today and into the future. One such initiative is the Chorus programme which seeks to expand their satellite communications business in the global aeronautical market segment. We are looking to provide a scalable and flexible beyond line-of-sight communication solution, for regional operations, to disseminate mission system data in real time from the airborne platforms to key end-users. The programme is expected to deliver a compelling end-to-end solution for this segment backed by a comprehensive go-to-market and capture strategy.The role will be responsible for driving the development and launch of the services under Chorus programmes. This role involves close collaboration with the PMO, technical, operations, sales and marketing teams to ensure the successful delivery of the service suite in line with the programme objectives.Key responsibilities:This role will be responsible for:Delivery Management: Lead, in coordination with the assigned project manager, the product delivery process for the Chorus services suite ensuring adherence to scope/features, timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.Oversee the management of the service development process, working closely with the PMO, technical, portfolio management, operations and central functions teams.Ensure that all technical and operational aspects of the product are addressed, including testing, quality assurance, and compliance,Lead the definition of clear requirements for the continuous development of the service, in line with the programme strategy and document them in a backlog format.Stakeholder Management:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, digital, operations and central functions to ensure seamless execution of product delivery and alignment with overall programme objectives.Facilitate regular communication between teams to address any issues or bottlenecks in the delivery process.Communicate product updates, changes, and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment between all parties involved in the product development and launch.Gather feedback from stakeholders and customers to incorporate it into the ongoing development process as needed and continuously improve the product.Product Launch:Develop and manage the product launch plan, coordinating activities across marketing, sales, technical and operations to ensure a successful launch.Monitor pre-launch readiness, addressing any last-minute issues or roadblocks that could impact the launch timeline.Work with marketing, sales and capture teams to prepare promotional materials, training programs, and go-to-market strategies.Monitor and analyse product performance post-launch, making data-driven decisions to optimize the product and drive adoption.Documentation: Manage and coordinate across teams to develop the supporting documentation, including of product/service, operational and support guidelines in fine and explicit detailsWork across functions including technical, sales, capture and marketing teams to ensure training materials and compelling storytelling and market facing collaterals are effectively produced to support the product launch.Any other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required. QualificationsEssential Knowledge and Skills:+5 years of experience in product management/delivery and proven track record of successful product launchesGood technical understanding and experience working closely with engineering and network operations teamGood stakeholder management skills.Ability to work well in a team environment and coordinate activities across functionsCollaborative mind-set and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to remain positive in high pressure and stressful situationsCritical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skillsFlexible / resourceful approach, independent problem solverExcellent technical writing skills. Strong presentation and written communication skillsGood computer skills in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint Bachelor s degree in a related engineering discipline, master s degree or above preferred.
