Seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of technology infrastructure for a new offshore initiative. The role will work closely with in-house IT leadership, the project team, vendors, and operations to ensure the staff and technology environment is setup and delivered on time to kick off project work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and implementation of IT infrastructure, internet/connectivity, network, identity and access, end-user cloud computing, security, and core applications.
- Develop and maintain an integrated project plan, with technology activities and dependencies clearly identified as critical-path items.
- Coordinate the technology enablement of Computational Biology and Data Science capabilities, including required infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
- Work closely with in-house IT leadership and the Bangalore project counterpart to clarify requirements, ownership, sequencing, and decisions.
- Coordinate vendors and cross-functional dependencies across the in-house IT team and Bangalore-based operations.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items; proactively escalate items that could affect timelines.
- Provide clear, regular status updates to IT leadership and key stakeholders.
- Develop realistic project timelines based on lead times, vendor availability, procurement, implementation dependencies, and local constraints.
- Drive follow-through across workstreams to keep the overall initiative on track.
Ideal Profile
- 12+ years of IT project/program management experience, with demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure and technology implementations.
- Experience managing projects involving multiple IT workstreams, vendors, and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, identity/access, endpoint computing, security, and business applications.
- Experience working on new site, office, laboratory, or technology-enabled facility buildouts is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills, with the ability to operate independently and drive execution.
- Life sciences, biotech, or research-environment experience is required.
- Strong communication, organization, and project reporting skills.
