Summary: The Infrastructure Analyst role involves joining the IT Infrastructure team to manage and optimize the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and operational efficiency. The position requires collaboration with various IT teams and third parties to support infrastructure services and enhance cyber capabilities. The role is primarily remote but may require occasional attendance at the Manchester office. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, security design, and contributing to business continuity planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure infrastructure services are integrated, delivered, and operating as required.
  • Review systems designs for appropriate technology selection and resource efficiency.
  • Design solutions with embedded security controls to mitigate threats.
  • Support third parties in providing infrastructure services.
  • Maintain dependable IT infrastructure and networking.
  • Troubleshoot problems and document resolutions.
  • Manage and take ownership of technical issues independently.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and advise on solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Enhance security of infrastructure to protect information.
  • Provide technical expertise for policies and governance forums.
  • Contribute to cross-department technical discussions for best-fit solutions.
  • Support business continuity planning and risk assessment.
  • Stay informed on the cyber security landscape and developments.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the line manager.

Key Skills:

  • Microsoft Certified.
  • Expertise with PowerShell and scripting.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft platforms, including Intune and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with anti-malware, intrusion detection, firewalls, and network security.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service.
  • Experience in patching, monitoring, and change management.
  • Experience with SQL Server and telecommunications configuration (desirable).
  • Strong VMWare vSphere skills (desirable).
  • Microsoft Azure certification (desirable).
