Summary: The role of IT Project Manager involves supporting a Local Authority in managing multi-stream programmes within the social care function, with a focus on governance, reporting, and stakeholder management. The position emphasizes oversight of the Council’s Mosaic platform and related transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering complex programmes within a Local Authority environment and managing technical projects. This is an interim position with a potential for extension, requiring immediate availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide governance, consistency, reporting, stakeholder management, and oversight across several interdependent programmes.
  • Focus on the Council’s Mosaic platform and related transformation initiatives.
  • Deliver complex programmes within a Local Authority environment.
  • Manage complex technical and infrastructure-led projects, including database and platform migrations.
  • Engage with stakeholders effectively and communicate project updates.
  • Work across multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering complex programmes within a Local Authority environment.
  • Strong programme governance, reporting, risk, and dependency management skills.
  • Significant experience working with Mosaic Social Care System.
  • Understanding of SQL Server environments and technical delivery processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Experience with CareCubed, Magic Notes, Amacis, and social care finance systems.
  • Qualifications in MSP, PRINCE2, PMP, APMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience within Children's Services transformation programmes.

Salary (Rate): £400 daily

We are currently supporting a Local Authority who require an interim experienced IT Project Manager to support across multi-stream programmes within the social care function. The role will focus on providing governance, consistency, reporting, stakeholder management, and oversight across several interdependent programmes, with a particular emphasis on the Council’s Mosaic platform and related transformation initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex programmes within a Local Authority environment.
  • Strong programme governance, reporting, risk, and dependency management skills.
  • Significant experience working with Mosaic Social Care System.
  • Experience managing complex technical and infrastructure-led projects, including database and platform migrations.
  • Understanding of SQL Server environments and technical delivery processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work across multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with:
    • CareCubed

    • Prepaid card solutions
