Head of Information Rights and Deputy DPO
9 month minimum assignment - maternity leave cover
Sellick Partnership are currently seeking a Head of Information Rights and Deputy DPO to join one of our clients for a period of maternity leave. This post is responsible for providing the strategic leadership and guidance for the organisation's data management. It is essential that applicants have previous experience working in a similar role, and have a track record of advising on the legal implication and risks involved in GDPR and Data Protection matters.
This role will be varied and will give the Head of Information Rights and Deputy DPO exposure to all areas of privacy and information governance. Applicants must possess a deep knowledge of information security principles and data legislation. You will be involved in all aspects of information governance, including overseeing data protection, Freedom of Information (FOI), and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests.
The post holder must be personable and able to forge lasting relationships with internal stakeholders with ease, enabling business units within the organisation to manage some processes before escalation. You will act as a trusted advisor to all business units, perhaps creating new policies (or amending existing ones) to enable best practice across the organisation.
You'll be instrumental in ensuring robust governance, effective risk management, and continuous improvement across all services.
This is a full-time position to begin immediately for an initial period of 9 months. This client offers unrivalled levels of flexibility and the role can be worked 100% remotely, with I.T. supplied and couriered at the start of the contract.
