Summary: The role of an Independently Licensed Therapist at Cerebral involves providing compassionate mental health care through telemedicine, supporting clients in their mental health journey. The therapist will have the flexibility to schedule sessions and collaborate with prescribers as needed. This position is a 1099 independent contract role, requiring a valid state license in specific states. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving access to mental health care and possess a strong clinical skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly therapeutic sessions with clients for 45 minutes.
- Provide 15-40 hours of weekly availability for client sessions.
- Create a flexible schedule based on individual availability, within specified hours.
- Collaborate with prescribers managing clients' medication.
- Work alongside other clinicians to positively impact client outcomes.
Key Skills:
- Independently Licensed Therapist in the U.S. (Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work).
- Good standing license in at least one state; willingness to obtain additional licenses.
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or equivalent.
- Experience diagnosing mental health disorders per DSM-5 criteria.
- Strong evidence-based clinical skills and outcome-focused care.
- Empathetic and intuitive listening abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of crisis response.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a telemedicine environment.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in various systems and tools.
- Passionate about improving access to mental health care.
- Entrepreneurial spirit or experience in a startup environment preferred.
