Summary: The M365 IAM Specialist will be responsible for securing and optimizing the identity infrastructure within an organization, focusing on Microsoft 365 environments. The role requires extensive expertise in managing complex, multi-tenant architectures and knowledge of Conditional Access, Azure Active Directory, and identity governance. The position is a 6-month contract and requires active SC clearance. This role is classified as outside IR35 and is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Conditional Access policies to enforce secure access to M365 services.
- Administer and optimise Azure AD, including hybrid identity configurations and synchronisation (e.g., AAD Connect).
- Manage identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
- Monitor and respond to identity-related security incidents and alerts.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and IT teams to ensure alignment with organisational policies.
- Support multi-factor authentication (MFA), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Troubleshoot complex identity and access issues across hybrid and cloud environments.
- Maintain documentation and provide training to internal teams on IAM best practices.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in Identity and Access Management, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
- Proven experience managing complex M365 tenants (e.g., multiple domains, hybrid environments, B2B/B2C).
- In-depth understanding of Conditional Access, including policy design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of MFA, SSO, OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender for Identity, and Microsoft Purview is a plus.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
