Summary: The IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition Consultant role focuses on the installation and upgrade of IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) on z/OS, with a primary emphasis on supporting OpenAPI Specification 3. Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) on z/OS
• Upgrade existing zCEE environments to support OpenAPI Specification 3 (OAS3)
• Perform system setup, configuration, and environment validation
• Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure performance optimization
• Apply best practices for security, scalability, and high availability
• Configure connectivity with backend systems (e.g., CICS, IMS, DB2)
• Support deployment and validation of APIs within zCEE
• Ensure compatibility with existing OAS2 services during transition
• Provide guidance on recreating OAS2 APIs into OAS3 (manual approach)
• Support developers with Swagger/OpenAPI authoring basics and API deployment in zCEE
• Deliver basic admin/end-user knowledge transfer
