IBM OMEGAMON Migration Specialist

Summary: The IBM OMEGAMON Migration Specialist will lead the migration from CA monitoring tools to IBM OMEGAMON solutions, ensuring a seamless transition and integration into the enterprise monitoring framework. This role involves installation, configuration, and customization of various OMEGAMON tools, as well as providing post-migration support and training. The position is fully remote and focuses on collaboration with multiple teams to achieve successful implementation. The role is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end migration from CA SYSVIEW, CA Insight, and CA NetMaster to IBM OMEGAMON tools.
• Install, configure, and customize the following IBM monitoring solutions:
• OMEGAMON for z/OS
• OMEGAMON for CICS
• OMEGAMON for Messaging
• OMEGAMON XE for Db2 Performance Expert on z/OS
• OMEGAMON for Networks on z/OS
• IBM Z NetView
• Analyze current CA tool configurations and translate them into equivalent OMEGAMON settings.
• Develop migration strategies, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
• Integrate OMEGAMON tools into the enterprise monitoring framework.
• Provide detailed performance monitoring and incident analysis support post-migration.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams for smooth implementation.
• Provide training and documentation for internal teams as needed.
