IBM Hardware Engineer

Summary: The IBM Hardware Engineer role focuses on managing and supporting mainframe hardware infrastructure and related technologies. The position requires expertise in various systems and tools, including disaster recovery and scripting. It is a remote position with a duration of over six months. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage mainframe hardware infrastructure including z15/z16/HMC/DS8000/TS7700/TS4500/FlashSystems.
• Oversee Cisco or Brocade SAN switches, storage fabric, and management tools such as SANNAV.
• Implement firewalls and proxy policy management.
• Support enterprise disaster recovery, high availability, and data replication technologies.
• Utilize Unix/Linux/Bash/SSH for system management.
• Work with IBM z/OS (Mainframe) and z/VM (zLinux).
• Handle Mainframe IO GEN & FICON operations.
• Manage incidents and changes using ServiceNow, CMDB, and Jira.
• Develop scripts using Linux BASH, Python, and RESTful APIs.
