Summary: We are looking for a Contract Integration Engineer specializing in IBM API Gateway automation and Confluent Kafka streaming. The role involves automating API deployments, managing DataPower gateways, and designing real-time data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integration engineering and a strong focus on automation and security. This position is remote and offers a contract duration of 6 to 12 months with potential extensions based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate API deployment and lifecycle using IBM API Connect CLI, scripts, or DevOps pipelines.
  • Manage and configure DataPower gateways using automated templates (e.g., YAML, Ansible).
  • Implement and enforce API security, quotas, and monitoring with automation-first mindset.
  • Design and build real-time data pipelines using Confluent Kafka.
  • Use Confluent tools (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, ksqlDB) to enable automated data flows.
  • Create CI/CD-enabled Kafka applications and manage connectors for databases, cloud, and APIs.
  • Deploy Kafka and API Gateway services in containerized/Kubernetes environments.

Key Skills:
