Summary: The HR TechOps Project Manager role involves overseeing the delivery of multiple mid-sized HR technology projects, particularly focusing on cloud-based HR systems like Workday. Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage multiple mid-sized projects across several workstreams
  • Ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Support the full project life cycle including planning, execution, testing, cutover, and hypercare
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans in Smartsheet
  • Ensure plans include testing, cutover, and deployment activities
  • Establish and maintain project governance in line with PMO standards
  • Track, report, and communicate progress against milestones
  • Define and manage critical project milestones
  • Identify and manage interdependencies across teams and workstreams
  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Drive accountability for stakeholder deliverables
  • Facilitate clear, consistent communication and status reporting using standard tools and collaterals
  • Own and maintain RAID and Action Logs in Smartsheet
  • Proactively identify risks, escalate where required, and drive resolution
  • Accountable for successful delivery of testing phases aligned to the Test Strategy
  • Oversee cutover activities and post-deployment hypercare
  • Manage escalation and resolution of production issues during hypercare
  • Manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and strategy
  • Work independently while adhering to PMO and delivery standards

  • Strong understanding of the employee life cycle (preferred)
  • PMP certification or equivalent practical experience (preferred)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HR TechOps Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple mid-sized HR technology projects within a broader HR TechOps programme. The role focuses on deploying changes across cloud-based, integrated HR systems, with a strong emphasis on Workday and associated HRIS platforms.

You will manage projects end-to-end, from Project Charter and Business Requirements through to deployment, hypercare, and closure, working closely with HR Technology, business stakeholders, and global teams across EMEA and the US.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery

  • Own and manage multiple mid-sized projects across several workstreams

  • Ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget

  • Support the full project life cycle including planning, execution, testing, cutover, and hypercare

Project Planning & Governance

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans in Smartsheet

  • Ensure plans include testing, cutover, and deployment activities

  • Establish and maintain project governance in line with PMO standards

  • Track, report, and communicate progress against milestones

Milestones & Dependencies

  • Define and manage critical project milestones
