Summary: The Housing Solutions Officer will be responsible for managing a portfolio of general needs properties within the Housing Services team in the West Midlands. This role focuses on delivering high-quality housing management services, ensuring compliance with housing legislation, and supporting tenants effectively. The position is freelance and fully remote, requiring a proactive approach to tenant engagement and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of council or housing association properties
- Act as the main point of contact for tenants
- Handle tenancy sign ups, sustainment, and enforcement
- Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour cases
- Conduct estate inspections and property visits
- Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation and policies
- Support vulnerable residents and make safeguarding referrals where required
Key Skills:
- Good knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Experience handling anti-social behaviour and safeguarding issues
