Role Overview

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients collaborating with a leading AI research organization on a large-scale AI training initiative focused on improving historical reasoning, source-based analysis, and culturally grounded interpretation in advanced language models. We are seeking experienced History Experts to create and evaluate high-quality history-related prompts and responses. This is a multilingual opportunity. We are specifically seeking experts who are fluent and deeply engaged in one or more of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.

Important: This role is not about translation ability alone. Candidates must have sustained engagement with historical study and discourse within their linguistic and cultural ecosystem including familiarity with:

• Regional and national historiography
• Primary and secondary source analysis
• Scholarly debates and methodological approaches
• Political, social, and cultural historical frameworks
• Culturally specific interpretations of historical events

This role is ideal for serious history enthusiasts, independent researchers, writers, educators, archivists, or dedicated hobbyists who actively study and discuss history within their language environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Author realistic prompts spanning historical analysis, historiographical comparison, primary source interpretation, timelines, and cause-and-effect reasoning
• Review and refine AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, contextual depth, nuance, and cultural authenticity
• Write high-quality “gold standard” responses for complex or interpretive historical questions
• Create controlled prompt variations testing differences in time period, geography, political context, or historiographical framing
• Evaluate outputs across tones (academic, explanatory, narrative)
• Identify model failure cases such as anachronisms, oversimplification, biased framing, or culturally inconsistent interpretations

Ideal Qualifications

• At least 2 years of sustained engagement with history through study, research, writing, teaching, archival work, or active community participation
• Active participation in historical discourse within at least one of the specified language ecosystems
• Strong familiarity with regional history, historiographical traditions, and culturally specific perspectives
• Ability to articulate historical arguments and contextual analysis clearly in the target language
• Strong written communication skills and thoughtful editorial judgment

Commitment

Expected availability: 10–40 hours per week

Fully remote with flexible scheduling
