Summary: The role of Tableau and Alteryx Administrator involves managing, supporting, and optimizing the analytics platform environment, specifically focusing on Tableau and Alteryx Server. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer Tableau Server and Alteryx Server, including installation, upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, security, APIs, automation, and firewall configuration.
- Handle authentication and identity management (SAML, Active Directory, SSO).
- Troubleshoot server, application, and user access issues with strong networking knowledge.
- Resolve Tableau and Alteryx performance issues, including dashboard and workflow optimization.
- Work with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Utilize scripting and automation with PowerShell and Python.
- Manage SSL/TLS certificates for Tableau and Alteryx platforms.
- Participate in 24/7 production support and on-call rotations.
