Summary: The Storage SME role is focused on advanced administration and support of enterprise storage, particularly within NetApp environments. The position requires expertise in multi-vendor storage platforms and ITIL-based service management processes to ensure high availability and performance optimization. The consultant will be responsible for troubleshooting complex storage issues and implementing improvements while supporting various IT service management processes. This is a remote position for a contract duration of over 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support NetApp FAS systems and NetApp ONTAP environments
  • Provide advanced support for NAS and SAN architectures, including provisioning, zoning, and performance optimization
  • Manage EMC storage platforms and interoperable storage environments
  • Perform capacity planning, replication, backup integration, and disaster recovery setup
  • Use NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) for proactive monitoring, performance analysis, alerting, and reporting
  • Troubleshoot complex storage issues and implement performance tuning improvements
  • Configure and support authentication protocols including Kerberos and LDAP
  • Integrate infrastructure systems with directory services and access control frameworks
  • Support ITIL processes including incident management, problem management, and utilize ServiceNow ITSM for ticket tracking
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for incidents, changes, and system configurations

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure and storage
  • Strong hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP and NetApp FAS
  • NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) monitoring and analytics

  • Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat) administration

Position Summary:

  • This role focuses on NetApp storage environments (FAS, ONTAP), multi-vendor storage platforms, and cross-platform system administration.
  • The consultant ensures high availability, performance optimization, and operational excellence, while supporting ITIL-based service management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Storage & Infrastructure Management:

  • Administer and support NetApp FAS systems and NetApp ONTAP environments
  • Provide advanced support for NAS and SAN architectures, including provisioning, zoning, and performance optimization
