Summary: Robert Walters is seeking a Healthcare Procurement Consultant for a 6-month remote contract with an industry-leading digital services business. The role involves developing a procurement function to meet the organization's due diligence and safety needs while balancing strategic and operational deliverables. The consultant will establish governance frameworks, manage supplier assurance, and engage stakeholders through training and communication. This position offers a competitive day rate and is fully home-based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish procurement governance framework – approval processes, delegation of authority and reporting lines
- Draft/implement policies & procedures for ethical sourcing, sustainability and compliance with NHS/DHSE standards
- Create supplier assurance framework – risk assessment, due diligence
- Establish requirements for conducting supplier audits
- Identify requirements for supplier contracts – SLA, metrics
- Develop contract templates, legal/compliance assurance reports
- TPAF strategy to deliver cost savings
- Establish process required for provision of benchmarking analysis with market rates/healthcare procurement best practice
- Develop third-party risk management framework
- Critical supplier – risk mitigation plans
- Plan training sessions and produce communication materials

Robert Walters is in partnership with an industry leading digital services business. Due to continued growth and acquisition, they are keen to appoint a Procurement Consultant on a 6-month contract. Fully Remote this is a home-based role. As a Procurement Consultant, you will scope and build a TPAF and Procurement function. It will be built to effectively to service the due diligence and safety needs of the business with an assurance and risk-based structure. Ensuring also it is resourced to meet evolving group needs. You will balance strategic deliverables (framework, policies, risk register management) with operational output (contract management, audits and dashboard requirements).
Healthcare Procurement Consultant (Home Based) Duties
