Business Analyst with QA to support a healthcare payer client's migration from a legacy SQL Server/SSIS data warehouse to Databricks. The role focuses on requirements gathering, data validation, QA, UAT, and stakeholder management across the migration lifecycle.

Duties
- Gather, document, and manage business requirements.
- Create BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Define and execute QA strategy, test plans, and defect management.
- Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
- Validate business rules, mappings, and transformation logic.
- Coordinate UAT and stakeholder sign-offs.
- Track cutover readiness, regression testing, and go-live criteria.
- Maintain data mapping documents, test cases, and defect logs.
- Collaborate with client SMEs, data engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Support PHI masking, data classification, RBAC, and compliance activities.
Required
- 8-10 years of Business Analyst and QA experience.
- Strong experience in data warehouse, ETL/ELT, or data migration projects.
- Hands-on SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
- Experience with source-to-target mapping and data quality testing.
- Exposure to Databricks, dbt, or modern cloud data platforms.
- Experience with SQL Server and SSIS environments.
- Knowledge of PHI/PII, data masking, RBAC, and data governance.
- Healthcare payer domain experience (membership, eligibility, claims, provider data).
- Understanding of HIPAA and PHI handling requirements.
- Experience with Agile, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting UAT and migration cutovers.
Desired
- Experience with Unity Catalog.
- Exposure to data masking/tokenization tools (Presidio or similar).
- Familiarity with Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, Epic, Cogito).
- Experience with phased migrations and parallel-run validations.
