Summary: We are looking for a skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join our team remotely in Canada. The role involves designing, developing, and integrating Guidewire Insurance Suite solutions, with a focus on PolicyCenter functionalities and digital portals. The developer will also ensure seamless system integration and contribute to insurance technology initiatives. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentorship of junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of Guidewire-based solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter and Digital Portal components.
  • Integrate Guidewire with third-party systems using SOAP/REST APIs, messaging (JMS/ActiveMQ), and batch processing.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers and participate in code reviews.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Guidewire applications.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and processes for future reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest Guidewire advancements and incorporate new features into existing solutions.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Proficiency in Java, GOSU, XML, JSON, and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Experience with Guidewire GX Model, Product Model, and Data Model customization.
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire plugins (predefined and custom).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment (3 days onsite in Toronto preferred).
